Peter Takács

As a seven-year-old piano prodigy in Romania, Peter Takács’ performances were banned when his parents attempted to emigrate to the West. In the years that followed, Takacs would go on to study at the Peabody Conservatory, receive countless awards and prizes—including a Solo Recitalist Grant from the National Endowment of the Arts—ultimately establishing himself as one of the world’s preeminent piano virtuosos. Called “a marvelous pianist” by The New York Times, his masterful and emotionally penetrating musical interpretations have awed audiences and critics across the globe.
